Sant & Usant is a Norwegian production company established in 2005, focusing on films with new visual perspective and strong impact. The company has developed a strong voice in the Nordic and European documentary industry, producing films with established filmmakers as well as new voices. Sant & Usant films have been shortlisted for an Academy Award, nominated for the European Film Awards, Cinema Eye Honors, Critics Choice Documentary Award, and the American Cinematographer Award. Their films have received awards in festivals such as HotDocs, IDFA, Sheffield, CPH:DOX, and Stockholm. Sant & Usant collaborates with broadcasters, theatrical distributors and Netflix. The company is also involved in international co-productions with their latest films ‘Writing With Fire’ and ‘President’ which both premiered in the competition at Sundance 2021.
